Care Instructions for Salon Line of Mats
Failure to follow care instructions may void the warranty.
After unpacking your GelPro® Salon Mat, you may notice small wrinkles on the outside edges of the mat and possibly some on the top surface. These are normal and should disappear within 48 hours of placing the mat on a flat surface.
Your mat requires a minimum of care, but certain activities should be avoided to increase the usable life of the product.
DO NOT stand on the mat in "stiletto" type high-heeled shoes. These sharp heels can potentially damage the surface of the mat.
DO NOT store or pack the mat rolled with the bottom side out. This can create permanent wrinkles and uneven surfaces.
DO NOT fold the mat as this can cause permanent creases.
DO NOT allow water/liquid to become trapped under the GelPro® Salon Mat. GelPro® Salon Mats are waterproof; therefore, if any moisture/liquid becomes trapped under a mat, it will not dry and must be removed as soon as possible. When mopping your floor, please ensure that your floor has completely dried before replacing the mat. Prolonged exposure to moisture/liquid may cause mold/mildew and/or damage to your mat and some types of flooring surfaces.
DO NOT clean with a power vacuum cleaner. The high speed rotating brush can damage the surface of the mat.
DO NOT clean with any substance or product other than water and a damp sponge or cloth. If you have a sticky or greasy spill, or if you spill hair dye or hair coloring agents on the mat, you may use a mild soap (such as dish washing detergent) and water with a damp sponge or cloth. Do not use any other household cleansers such as, but not limited to, window cleaners, floor cleaners, polishes, or all purpose cleaners.
Note: Prolonged exposure to hair dye and/or hair coloring agents may cause permanent staining to the mat.
DO NOT use hot water extraction, steam cleaning, or high pressure water/air, as they could damage your mat.
ALL AREA RUGS AND FLOOR MATS CREATE RAISED SURFACES WHEN PLACED ON YOUR FLOOR FOR USE. THE GELPRO® MAT CREATES A RAISED STANDING SURFACE WITH ITS COMFORTABLE SOFT GEL LAYER. ANY RAISED SURFACE COULD BE A TRIP HAZARD, AND CARE SHOULD BE TAKEN WHILE STEPPING ON, OVER, OR OFF OF AREA RUGS AND FLOOR MATS.
