Let’s Gel is a privately held company that was started in Robb and Lisa McMahan’s home in the early 2000s. Their first office was the dining room table, and the first manufacturing facility was their driveway where Robb poured the first gel mat by hand. The company has grown a bit since those early days, and now owns a modest, 82,000-square-foot manufacturing facility in Waco, Texas.

What hasn’t changed over the years is Let’s Gel’s commitment to manufacturing and sourcing the best component parts the world has to offer. For us, it’s a balance between cost and quality, and we will always err on the side of quality. Sometimes our products may cost a bit more than others but we’re confident in your willingness to pay a little more for a high-quality product that supports US-based manufacturing.

You will notice the labels for the GelPro Elite mats qualify the product as having been “Made in the USA with Globally Sourced Materials”. Even though the GelPro Elite mats are designed, assembled, and manufactured in the United States at our company-owned manufacturing facility, Federal Trade Commission regulations require us to qualify the product as having globally sourced materials because one component part is imported from overseas.

Here is the breakdown of where the component parts of the GelPro Elite mats are manufactured and sourced:

Gel – Let’s Gel proprietary formula; made from US-sourced raw materials at Let’s Gel’s factory
Foam – sourced from US-based company; blown at Let’s Gel’s factory
Top Fabric – sourced from overseas (over the years from Europe and Asia; today, from Asia); converted at Let’s Gel’s factory
Ink – sourced from US-based company; printed at Let’s Gel’s factory.
